1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Urban Move. By accessing or using our mobile application and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Urban Move. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

Urban Move is a digital bus ticketing platform that enables passengers to purchase tickets for intracity bus travel in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Our service includes:

  • Real-time bus stop location and route information
  • Digital ticket purchase and QR code generation
  • Payment processing through secure third-party gateways
  • Ticket validation and management
  • Travel history and transaction records

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, but we do not guarantee the availability of routes, bus stops, or services at all times.

3. User Account and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use our services, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information, including your name, phone number, and a secure password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.

3.3 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our services. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Ticket Purchase and Payment

4.1 Ticket Availability

Tickets are subject to availability and are valid only for the specific route, date, and time selected. We reserve the right to limit the number of tickets purchased per transaction or per user account.

4.2 Pricing

All ticket prices are displayed in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and are subject to change without prior notice. The price you pay is the price displayed at the time of purchase. We are not responsible for any pricing errors and reserve the right to cancel transactions made at incorrect prices.

4.3 Payment Methods

We accept payments through authorized payment gateways, including bKash and SSLCommerz. All payment transactions are processed securely by third-party payment processors. By making a payment, you agree to the terms and conditions of the respective payment gateway.

4.4 Payment Confirmation

A ticket is only issued after successful payment confirmation from the payment gateway. If payment fails or is declined, no ticket will be issued, and you will need to attempt the purchase again.

5. Ticket Usage and Validity

5.1 Ticket Validity

Tickets are valid only for the specific route, date, and bus brand selected at the time of purchase. Each ticket contains a unique QR code that must be presented for validation when boarding the bus.

5.2 Ticket Transfer and Refunds

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or as explicitly stated in our Refund Policy. Once a ticket is generated, it cannot be transferred to another person or used for a different route or date.

5.3 Ticket Validation

You must present a valid, unscanned QR code ticket to board the bus. Once a ticket is scanned and validated, it cannot be used again. You are responsible for ensuring your device has sufficient battery and internet connectivity to display your ticket when boarding.

5.4 Lost or Damaged Tickets

We are not responsible for tickets that are lost, deleted, or damaged due to device failure, loss, or theft. It is your responsibility to keep your device secure and maintain access to your ticket QR code.

6. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Using the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempting to hack, breach, or circumvent any security measures
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent ticket purchase limits
  • Sharing, selling, or transferring your account to another person
  • Using automated systems, bots, or scripts to access or use the service
  • Interfering with or disrupting the service or servers connected to the service
  • Attempting to manipulate ticket prices or availability
  • Impersonating another person or entity

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account and legal action.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, and functionality of the Urban Move application, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the exclusive property of Urban Move and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any content from our service without our express written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Urban Move and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Service interruptions or unavailability
  • Delays or cancellations in bus services operated by third parties
  • Device malfunctions or connectivity issues
  • Any damages resulting from your use or inability to use our service

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the use of our service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the ticket(s) in question.

9. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide continuous and reliable service, but we do not guarantee that our service will be available at all times or free from errors, interruptions, or defects. We may:

  • Temporarily suspend or discontinue the service for maintenance, updates, or technical issues
  • Modify, update, or remove features or functionality at any time
  • Limit or restrict access to the service for any reason

We are not liable for any inconvenience or loss resulting from service interruptions or modifications.

10. Third-Party Services and Links

Our service may contain links to third-party websites, payment gateways, or services that are not owned or controlled by Urban Move. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services.

Your interactions with third-party services, including payment processors, are solely between you and the third party. We encourage you to review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Urban Move and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or related to your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our service at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms and Conditions
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Extended periods of account inactivity
  • Request by law enforcement or government agencies

Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease, and we may delete your account and related data. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the app.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of our service shall be resolved through good faith negotiations. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

You agree to waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in class action lawsuits.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Urban Move regarding the use of our service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
